The 2022 Cuvée du Nouveau Monde shows brightly in the glass and gives fresh raspberry and spice aromas complimented by gentle notes of new oak. On the palate, this wine carries bright red fruit and quenching acidity with gentle tannins that give length and poise.
The 2022 Pinot noir, Cuvée du Nouveau Monde hails from Domaine Messier Pinot Noir plantings of exclusively 943 clone. Clusters were hand-harvested before complete destemming into small two-ton open-top fermenters. Gentle pigeage was performed by hand twice a day before press-out at dryness. Maturation was carried out in 40% new French oak barrels for 12-months before bottling.
